Who invented the CD Player?

Sony is the pioneer and released the first ever CD player. The original CD Player was named CDP-101 and released in 1982. Nobuyuki Idei the Chairman and CEO of Sony has introduced CDP-101 and it incorporated a slide out design. Currently there are countless innovative Mp3 players and Ipods available however the fact remain that CD player has paved the path for other revolutionary inventions.
