Which states were parts of the Confederacy?
The Confederacy or the Confederate States of America were consisted of eleven southern states. Set up from 1861 to 1865, the Confederacy was not recognized state.
These are the states that were parts of confederacy:

- Mississippi

- Louisiana
- Texas
- Virginia
- Arkansas
- North Carolina
- Tennessee
The capital of this unrecognized state was Montgomery, Alabama until May 29, 1861. Richmond, Virginia took place as capital until April 2, 1865, and the last capital was Danville, Virginia until the April 10, 1865.
The president of the Confederacy was Jefferson Davis and his Vice President was Alexander Stephens.
The civil war between U.S. and the Confederacy officially ended on April 9, 1865 when General Robert E. Lee surrendered to General Ulysses S. Grant.
