The Poke is an interesting feature on Facebook which can be interpreted in many different ways. If you get poked by someone, you’ll see a Poke icon on your Home page with options to remove Poke or to Poke back.
To poke someone on Facebook means that you just want to tell that person “Hello”, that’s one interpretation. Another is like in real world when you’re tapping someone on the shoulder. Basically, it’s a feature which serves to get someone’s attention.
If you accept The Poke from a person who is not included in your Friends list he or she will be temporary able to see your Basic Info, Work Info and Education Info.
