It was developed by Crocco, who decided to make a watch that has got a unique design and looks simple but sporty. So, he established a company, MDM Geneve, to develop these kinds of watches which can be used in informal and elegant situations as well. His design did not comprise of complex elements and it was rather a simple design. The materials used to develop the watch range from still that is finely brushed to gold. Interesting thing is, 160 operations that are manual were used for perfection. Leather was not used for making the strap because Crocco felt that it is too fragile. Surprisingly, he used rubber to design the strap as he felt it can compromise steel as well as gold. It took 3 years to design the rubber strap as the concept is completely new. Since it is made of rubber, the strap was highly durable and it was light too. The strap was corrosion resistant and contained steel inserts that are invisible.
