Newly wed couples often try to find out when is the best time to get pregnant and start a family. Forget all the traditional mumbo-jumbo. Science tells that the best thing to do is the following:
-woman should follow closely her monthly cycle. It is usual that her menstrual cycle repeats every 28 days.
-in the middle of this cycle, around day 14, ovulation starts. Symptom can be elevated body temperature for 0.2-0.7 degrees Celsius.
-ovulation is the period when egg (latin: ovum) is released from the follicle and it travels down the oviduct to the uterus.
- couple of days before the ovulation starts, couple should already start with intercourse and should have it at least three times per week. This is important, because this way they can make the sperm to wait for an egg, instead of trying to hit that precise moment when the egg is in the uterus.

What Is The Best Time Of Month To Get Pregnant?

The best time to get pregnant is the period of ovulation. During ovulation process women’s egg gets mature and ready for fertilization.

Ovulation usually occurs on 14th day of women’s menstrual cycle in the cases when the cycle lasts 28 days. But not every woman’s cycle lasts 28 days so ovulation varies due to the length of the cycle ( it can occur 10th to 19th day of the cycle). If the cycle lasts, for example, 31 days woman should subtract 14 days and that (in this case 16th day of the cycle) would be approximately the time of her ovulation.

The egg will be fertilized within 24 hours and recommendation is that couple should have intercourse 4 and 2 days before ovulation and one day after.
