Water is very important for our normal functioning. The water forms about 70% of the world, 65% of human body, 85% of our brain, 20% of our bones and 5-10% of dry seeds. Every system in our body depends on water. It flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrient to your cells and provides moist environment for tissues.

So, the important question is how much water should we drink?

Every day we lose water trough perspiration, urine and bowel elements and we have to replenish the water supply by consuming beverages, fruits and other food that contains water.

In general, doctors recommend 8-9 glasses (~2 l) of water. This is an average measure for healthy, adult person.

Other drinks are not always good replacement for water, so the best choice is pure spring water. But mineral water or can also be a good option.

When is the best time for drinking water?

Drinking water two or three hours after a meal is a very healthy practice.  It is also recommended to drink water while sitting.

We shouldn’t drink water when we are hungry or sweaty, after having a bath or eating fruit. That will make us even thirstier.
