There is no scientific evidence supporting this misleading myth that coffee consumption may lead to shorter height. This deceptive myth was originated few decades ago, as it was thought coffee and its main ingredient caffeine may lead to osteoporosis and eventually bones mass reduction. However the most recent research shows that regular coffee intake slightly reduce calcium incorporation in your bones. You can add few table spoons of milk to get the benefit of calcium. Although coffee doest not make you stunt or shorten your height. But it’s suggested to closely monitor your child’s coffee consumption as there are many other side effects of coffee such as insomnia, fast heartbeat, stomach discomfort, nervousness and shakiness.
