Causes of myocardial infarction?
Myocardial infarction is more known as heart attack. It occurs when some part of the heart is not getting blood which causes heart cells to die. Most common reason for this is blockage of coronary artery.
There are more risk factors that can cause Myocardial infarction. Here are some of them:
1. Tobacco smoking
2. Diabetes
3. High cholesterol
4. High blood preassure
5. Family history of heart diseases
6. Age
7. Obesity
8. High homocysteine
9. Stress
10. Various drugs and medications
Mens are in bigger risk of myocardial infarction then women. Most of the risk factors can be prevented by watching on your body and practicing healthy life. Women who used contraceptive pills have slightly increased risks of heart attack.
