Anyone who is even vaguely familiar with the zodiac signs will be aware of one of the signs called Leo. This sign is a constellation like all other zodiac signs and is found between Cancer and Virgo. Its name means the lion in the Latin language. It is called by various other names in different languages. It has fifteen stars of which nine have planets. It has three stars that shine brightly. One of them is rather close to the Earth. In fact one of the brightest stars in the Earth’s sky at night is also present in this constellation. It has seven other constellations bordering it apart from the ones mentioned earlier. The name Leo was given because of the way the stars are connected. The lines joining the stars represent a lion with each star forming a different part of the lion’s body. Egyptian mythology suggests that the Sun entered this constellation during the summers and the lions on the Earth walked up to the cool waters to seek comfort. The Sun does indeed enter this constellation from the 10th of Aug till the 15th of Sept. There are remnants of the representations of the Leo even today on the Egyptian walls.
